No, dogs (or other animals) are not allowed inside during the Christmas market. This includes pets in bags, strollers, or carts. Service dogs are permitted.
If you want to enjoy the Velvet Cave Christmas Market at your own pace and take a good look at the beautiful things the cave has to offer, come on a weekday in November or December (it’s also cheaper). Peak crowds occur during the weekends after Sinterklaas.

No, the Velvet Cave Christmas Market in Valkenburg a/d Geul is not affiliated with the Museum Card. Therefore, the Museum Card is not valid during the Christmas market. During the rest of the year, you can visit the Velvet Cave & Castle Ruins for free with your Museum Card.

You can buy tickets online via our website. Find the desired date and time, place the tickets in the shopping cart, and check out. You can download the tickets immediately, and you will also receive an email with the tickets.
Yes, you can. Tickets are available at the ticket office. Because only a limited number of people are allowed in the cave at once, queues may form on weekends, and once it’s full, it’s full. People with an online ticket will have priority with their reserved time slot.
You can also buy tickets for Incredible Sand at the ticket office and online.
We also sell combination tickets.
We do not sell combination tickets at the ticket office. Online, you have the option to combine different attractions within Christmas Town Valkenburg by date and time and then pay all at once.

The half-hour time slot indicates the time frame in which you can enter the Velvet Cave Christmas Market. Once inside, you can stay as long as you like (within opening hours). Please note that the entrance closes 45 minutes before the closing time of the Velvet Cave Christmas Market.

Questions about group visits of 20 or more people
For tour operators and other groups of 20 or more people, the group rate is $8.50 per person from Monday to Thursday and $10.50 per person from Friday to Sunday. You can order tickets online via our webshop. For additional questions, please fill out the contact form on our website.

One bus driver and one tour guide per bus receive free admission to the Velvet Cave Christmas Market. They can report to the ticket office of the Velvet Cave Christmas Market to receive their ticket.
If your group has already visited and not all tickets were used, it is not possible to return the remaining tickets. If you haven’t visited yet, please contact us at info@stve.nl.
